Tips to Build Your Own Workout
The fitness industry is filled with overwhelming information. Build confidence in your workouts by following these steps.
1) Start with 1-2 Compound Exercises
These are exercises that use multiple muscle group to do (eg. bench press)
2) Choose 2-4 Accessory Exercises
These are exercises that only uses 1 muscle group to do (eg. tricep pushdowns)
3) Choose a Rep Range
Muscle Growth / Strength: 8-12 reps
Muscle endurance: 12-20 reps
Recommended sets: 3-4
4) Track Your Workout
Track your exercises, weights, reps, and sets for each workout. This can be done using your notes app.
