I know the other owner Abby from high school and she told me about an incident her poor daughter was going through regarding several girls bullying her. Abby described how upset she was and showed me she was dedicated to helping her daughter and went through so many channels (the bully’s parents, the principal, and school law officers. She got a no contact order between the girls, but, as any woman would with her child, she wasn’t done fighting and was considering the police.
After seeing her passion and when she came to me with a name and idea, we decided to start a non-profit to help target what is such a problem, especially in schools. While it has been an issue even since I was in school, we didn’t see this level of school shootings, cutting, cyber-bullying didn’t exist, transferring from schools who refuse to enforce even their own policies, cutting and lastly suicide and drug addiction to especially the deadliest drug, not around in my time, fentanyl.
After she dropped the idea on me, I got excited about the possibilities and went into business creation mode.
While my last position was as a dog groomer, a bad accident in May 2024 rendered me disabled. But in my past, I was very familiar with creating websites and conducting plans to help other small local businesses get started with online, marketing, social media, financial and all the other back end work needed to get a company going. So this was right up my alley and I must say that I am very passionate about stopping bullies destroy poor children’s lives.
I want to start as a resource for victims and families to come chat, share personal stories, be connected to support and resources, and eventually have fundraising efforts to raise money for victims who have medical or financial problems as a result of bullying, I’d like to promote social change and eventually hold events locally in schools to address the bully problem.
I am currently going through some serious medical issues and haven’t had as much time as I’d like to commit to this right now, but stay tuned because as soon as I can I plan on growing this to a movement with Abby’s help!! Right now there is a Facebook page.
